The Conservative Nominating Convention

The nomination and election of local Richmond government officials is taking place.


The Conservative Nominating Convention- The nominating convention of the Conservative party, consisting of fifteen delegates from each Ward, will meet at the rooms of the Chamber of Commerce at 8 o'clock this evening. The duties of this convention will be to nominate two candidates for each of the following offices: Mayor, sergeant, city treasurer, Commonwealth's attorney, commissioner of the revenue, and clerks of the hustings, probate, and circuit courts. The nominations made will be submitted to a primary election to be held on such day as the convention may determine.
