The State Central Committee of the Conservative party, having accepted the resignation of Thomas W. McCance, Esq., city superintendent, have determined to call together the committee over which he presided, and which did such efficient ser- vice in the Walker canvass, for the purpose of reorganizing and preparing for the fall campaign. We learn that the city com- mittee will probably be called together this week for the purpose indicated. Thorough organization and party discipline is neces- sary if we are to defeat Porter at the election in November.
