Title

This Week in Reconstruction, December 15-21, 1869

Description

Virginia is disappointed to hear the question of admitting Virginia representatives has been postponed to Saturday. Grant is quoted, "Every day's delay in the case of Virginia is a day's injustice. And any reconstruction which leaves disabilities in its track is a work unfinished." The Reconstruction committee this past Saturday was bogged with manufactured testimonies from ultra Radicals. The tactics of the Radicals have been so dishonest, even Wells himself has disowned the group. To the annoyance of Virginia, admission will not take place until January. The case of Georgia is to blame.
