Title

The Flood, October 1-8, 1870

Description

The atrocity that has been ravaging the state of Virginia for some time now has finally made its way to Richmond - the flood. Having caught word of the flood many days before it arrived at the outskirts of the city, the residents of Richmond knew that it was not to be taken lightly. Despite everything its residents knew and every precaution the city took in anticipation of the flood, not much has been able to stop, or even mitigate, the trail of destruction it is leaving in Richmond. Thankfully no lives have been taken, forming the one saving grace amidst the destruction. It is only a matter of time before the floods time in Richmond comes to a close, and then the citizens will finally be able to return back life uninterrupted, and the community can begin to rebuild itself.
