The Removal of Governor Wells Appeal for the Revocation of General Stoneman's Order. A delagation of Virginia Republicans headed by General Wickham, Mr. Wardwell, and Alexander Sharp, the newly-appointed marshal for this district, visited the Secretary of War and General Sherman this morning to procure a revocation of General Stoneman's order removing Governor Wells. The result of the interview is not yet known. It is possible no action will be taken until the arrival of General Canby, who is on his way to take command in Virginia. -Washington Correspondence New York Post, March 29.
