Virginia

December 29, 1869

Summary

Virginia will be represented in Congress when the body reassembles, regardless of the efforts of Sumner and Butler.

Transcription

The Washington correspondent of the State Journal writes that Virginia will be represented in Congress within a week after the resembling of that body, and that neither General Butler nor Senator Sumner, it so disposed, could prevent such a result. This correspondent speaks in a confident tone, and seems to write as one having information which justified it. We hope for the best.
