A New Horror - We find in yesterday's State Journal and in the Washington Chronicle a letter from Eastville, North- ampton, stating that the Judge of the country court in that county had sentenced a negro, nearly eighty years old, to receive ten lashes on the bare-back for stealing thirty cents' worth of rope, although he had been confined in jail since May last! Of course nobody believes this story: but nevertheless, it is a good thing the Porter, Humphreys, Maddox Co. Let them go on to Washington at once and get Virginia set back!
