Three white men from Louisville, KY were tried and two convicted of a crime. The only witnesses against them were "negroes".
Civil Rights Case.-- A civil rights case occurred in Louisville, Ky., on Wednesday last. Three white men who had been arrested by the military authorities were tried before the United States Commissioner, and two of them committed to jail, the only witnesses against them being negroes.
