Colored Schools

Summary

Another report on the schools dedicated to teaching Black Richmonders is published. At the Ebenezer school there are about 120 students being taught by both black and white teachers.

Transcription

Colored Schools.--The colored schools at Ebenezer church are quite full. V. H. Roberts and Peter H. Woolfolk, colored men from Richmond, and Miss Baker, white, from Massachusetts, are the teachers. W. N. Morris, colored, is the Janitor of the school. There are 120 scholars pursuing their studies at these schools.
