A Southern Congressmen on Reconstruction

Richmond district representative returns to tell that states will be admitted back into the constitution backed by the adoption of a new amendment.

Hon. J. McCaleb Wiley, the congressional representative elect from this district, has just returned from Washington, and expresses the conviction that Alabama and other unrepresented States would be restored to the Union on the adoption of the constitutional amendment, and that a liberal policy would be pursued in reference to those of our people who labor under political disabilities.
